Lord of the Rings, Hobbit outfit (2005)

My husband Michael went as a Hobbit (after deciding an Ent would be way too much work). Seeing as how the Hobbits' clothing was very 18th c.-inspired... He bought JAS Townsend's 18th c. workshirt in osnaberg (similar to natural muslin), a pair of brown cotton twill pants that we hemmed to below-knee-length, and I made him the waistcoat from a Simplicity pattern. He went all out with a wig and furry feet... but somehow most of the photos of him from the feast turned out terrible! So here are the few we could salvage.
